Emily, our Client Services Administrator, is professional, organised and always smiling – you could not ask for anything more as the first point of contact for our team. She is always friendly and ensures our clients’ needs are addressed.
When we asked her what she liked about her work, she mentioned the diversity. “Every day is different and has different challenges.”
In her work with our business and SMSF clients, she often sees challenges pop up. Helping clients through those roadblocks to get the right outcome gives Emily great satisfaction. Emily recognises that delivering that quality of work builds a client’s faith in us, so they know we can deal with whatever challenges are put in our way.
Emily loves to spend her free time camping, 4WDriving, bushwalking and being outdoors with family and friends.

Kylie was born and raised in Gippsland and has worked alongside Darren for 12 years. She has adapted to different roles from personal assistant and administration right through to bookkeeper and more recently Workflow Manager. Over the years she’s built strong relationships with our clients, who appreciate her just as much as we do!
Kylie mainly works with business clients and sole traders and has a particular love for setting clients up with Xero’s modern accounting technology.
We would describe Kylie as loyal, adaptable, hardworking and eager to please, so she is certainly a huge asset to our team!
Outside of work, Kylie loves a variety of crafts and basketball where she is both a coach and a referee!

When Dart Business Solutions was founded more than 11 years ago, Tania was instrumental in the home office supporting Darren to establish the business. As a result, Tania’s roles included administration, reception and our company bookkeeping. Tania continues to support the practice with payroll, HR, bookkeeping and administration support.
She really enjoys working in a positive team that is striving together towards the same goals. For Dart Business Solutions that is trusted advisors, focused on customer service that exceeds expectations and delivers on client needs.

Andrew is a qualified CPA with over 17 years of experience and has worked with us as our Accounting and Tax Manager for a few years now. He works with small business owners to help them grow their business in a structured way while meeting their compliance obligations.

Darren’s main role is talking to business owners to understand their goals, aspirations and opportunities, so we can create a tailored action plan. To put it simply, Darren loves to help people.
Darren holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting), is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand and has completed specialist qualifications in self-managed superannuation funds.
Darren’s philosophy is to listen to the client’s issues. Just like going to a doctor, Darren knows we need to understand your business and its problems and challenges before we can prescribe the best solutions. His favourite part about his work is being able to use his skills to make a difference in the lives of his clients. He describes himself as growth focused, ambitious and driven, so it is fair to say he is the guy you want on your side!
Outside of work, Darren loves golf, AFL, motorsports, waterskiing and travel. He is currently the Board Chair of St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School after serving 9 years as Treasurer and has been involved with a variety of boards and committees of local community organisations. Darren is also a keen follower of the property market, an interest that enables him to provide valuable guidance to clients with their investments in this sector.

Born and bred on a stud beef farm, Angie has a busy life with family and her second career as a fitness instructor at Aqua Energy gym based in Sale.

Susan has been with Phillipsons for over 20 years. She is the first line of contact for many clients whom she loves to meet and assist. Susan’s wealth of experience in human resource management, payroll, creditor management and board secretarial support is valued by both Phillipsons and also our clients when the need arises.
Susan is keenly involved in our social activities and outside of the office she enjoys lawn bowls, cruising the high seas, cycling and spending quality time with her family.

The first option to assist with any technology issues in the office, Dan has a wealth of experience in Information Technology and Systems Management. He is currently undertaking a Batchelor of Computer Science at Deakin University.
Dan has over a decade of experience in the IT service industry. Prior to working in IT Dan spent 8 years in his family’s transportation business which has provided a great understanding of management, logistics and running a small business.
Outside the office Dan likes to spend time with his family and keeping up to date with the latest and greatest in the technology world.

Tracey joined the team in 2013, working with our clients entering or already with a Self-Managed Super fund. Tracey is passionate about super and loves advising clients to help them get the most out of their future retirement. Linda completed her Diploma of Financial Planning 2002 and Diploma of Financial Planning RG146 with Deakin University.
Linda has been in the industry for over 20 years, with financial planning studies along the way. She enjoys helping clients understand and get the most from their investments.
As our Portfolio Administration Manager, Linda uses the latest Administration & Reporting software to deliver our clients an investment administration service that is meaningful and cost-effective.
Linda reconciles our portfolios constantly to ensure transactions, cash account movements and processes have been implemented and recorded accurately and ready for quarterly reporting.
Outside of work, Linda's main love is spending precious and priceless time with all of her children and grandchildren.

Katrina recently completed her Masters degree in Financial Planning; she is an AFP(R) member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia and an accredited SMSF specialist advisor with the SMSF Association.
Katrina is dedicated to assisting clients successfully navigate through all of life's important transitions with tailored personal advice to help them stay on track and achieve the lifestyle they desire. Jayden joined Phillipsons in 2019. Jayden is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and is currently undertaking a Master of Financial Planning course at Deakin University on a part-time basis.
Jayden is dedicated to servicing the needs of all clients, no matter the circumstances or stage of life. He enjoys the client journey beginning from establishment of a suitable financial plan, given their specific personal circumstances, goals & objectives then following on with the ongoing review process and ensuring they’re adequately coached, mentored and serviced to achieve ‘what they set out to accomplish!’
Personally, Jayden’s hobbies range from playing Aussie Rules Football for the local Sale Magpies, then in the summer months gracing the cricket field for the Collegians Cricket club. Then strictly when weather and the cricket schedule permit, he is an enthusiastic fisherman and scuba diver and extremely enthusiastic about discussing all of the above anytime/anywhere.

Ian has over 30 years industry experience in all aspects of professional financial planning and today works with Family, HNW individuals and SME’s in the areas of investment advice & management, superannuation, retirement and inter-generational wealth planning.
Outside of work Ian enjoys golf, cycling, travel and spending quality time with family & friends.

Erin joined Phillipsons in 2019 and brings with her a wealth of experience, having worked in the financial sector for over 15 years. Erin has extensive experience working with non-profits, private companies and partnerships and sole traders.
Keeping busy is no problem for Erin. Erin and her husband own a 3rd generation dairy farm in Yanakie and with 4 children, she is constantly ‘on the go’ between the farm, coaching and/or watching children at the basketball, attending committee meetings and if there is any spare time left she enjoys going to the gym.

Amanda is based predominantly at our Foster Hub and has qualifications in Bookkeeping, Training and HR. Using her exceptional bookkeeping skills and a systemised approach, Amanda establishes strong management reporting processes to enable business owners to feel in control of their operations.

With a strong motivation to getting clients organised, extensive knowledge and experience, her business plan is tailored to our clients individual needs for their business.. Selena has experience in a number of bookkeeping programs including Reckon, MYOB, QBO, Xero, Banklink and Cashflow Manger.

After working for one of the big 4 banks for 18 years Rochelle sought a change where she felt she could add real value to clients.
A passion for bookkeeping developed whilst acting as a Treasurer for a local kindergarten and a board member of Sale Combined Kindergartens for a number of years. Rochelle wanted a role that made her feel like she could add value to the needs of clients and found her place in the BetterBooks team.
Rochelle is very popular with our clients for her can do attitude and friendly nature.

Felicity has a wealth of experience, with over 25 years working as a bookkeeper. Having grown up in a Timber Industry Family, originally working for her fathers business as his office manager.
Felicity is appreciated for her attention to detail. She understands the value of timely reporting and prides herself on maintaining the highest levels of accuracy, process and client delivery. She has always loved the opportunities bookkeeping has provided in working with a lot of different industries and a variety of people.
Outside the office Felicity is kept busy with her children's many sporting activities and says she is most happy just home spending time with her family.

With many years working in both her own business and in bookkeeping roles for other businesses, Donna joined Phillipsons with a wealth of expertise to share through our Better Books team.
Problem solving and helping to get the most out of both new and old software products are all part of Donna's focus when working with clients.
When not at work, Donna is involved with the local theatre company and also enjoys sewing, reading and getting away in her caravan.

Julie is a born and bred North Queenslander who grew up on a cattle property north of Mt Isa. She moved here with her family in June 2019 and joined the Agri Group. She has worked predominately in the Agri space over the years and enjoys the diversity of working with agricultural clients.
Julie gets immense satisfaction from providing a variety of solutions for clients and assisting them better understanding their businesses. Julie thoroughly enjoys the fact that one day she will be assisting clients working on a remote cattle property in the Northern Territory and the next a dairy farm in Gippsland.
A fan of the North QLD Cowboys and has always been a strong Storm supporter due to the involvement of legends Billy Slater and Cameron Smith, both QLD boys! Her father in law has instructed also that she now follow Essendon or face the risk of being removed from the will.

Away from the office Taylah is heavily involved in the Maffra Football Netball Club where she plays, umpires and coaches.

John enjoys horse races, fishing, and hunting, and his weekend “hobby” in the warmer months is cooking for groups on horseback tours in the local mountains. His experience with horse races also provides good training in calculation and treatment of losses.
